But its because they are not she just keeps flapping her lips. She knows full well that women are much more open to the power of suggestion than men are so she sadistically capitalizes on that knowledge. What a POS.

Feminism sees rape as a gender issue with one gender dominating the other and the victim standing for its right for not being abused. In that context calling on the responsibility of the victim is bullshit.
But, rape is not a gender dynamics issue, but criminal activity. Its not “men” but “rapists” like in “burglars” and “murderers”, and its not a “crime against women” but a “crime”.
So without that understanding, telling a sexy girl she shouldnt wear a miniskirt and get drunk because she could get raped, its the same as telling an intellectual he shouldnt prepare his papers and publish his works because he could get killed.
“dont wanna get killed? dont publish your papers”
Pretty offensive. But its just not the case.

@YOHAMI
Which is exactly why I try to argue it from a Criminal Justice stand point. And even on that standing I mostly get them saying, “So Esca, you mean crime happens so shut up and take it? That’s evil”. The crazy idea that I have is “crime happens, and you should do your best to prevent it”.

SuZQ writes: While I can agree that the young woman’s behavior was imprudent, this was a college campus which offers a false sense of security.
Do colleges nowadays regularly hand out brochures advising young women that being on campus means they are 100% guaranteed to be free from danger to their persons?

Are there No women in Ontario who might excercise some moral authority on these silly girls – or did common-sense miss out a Canadian generation of women. There is appropriate dressing and inappropriate. You do not go to a dinner party in your Pyjamas, or a wedding in beach-wear.
